So, something really strange happened to me years ago, and I still think about it. I was about sixteen, and I woke up in the middle of the night. There was this figure at the foot of my bed—just a black, shadowy shape of a man, with no other features at all. Except for its eyes. They were these bright, glowing white circles, just staring right at me. It felt so real, I know I was awake.

I was terrified, obviously. I shook my partner awake, and they saw it too! But then, almost instantly, this wave of calm just washed over me. It was like the figure itself was telling me not to be afraid, without any words. The fear just vanished.

I’ve looked online for similar stories, but I’ve never found anything that matches this exactly—the pure black shape with those intense white eyes. Has anyone else seen something like this, or have any ideas what it could have been? I’d love to hear your thoughts.

It seems like the only thing I’ve heard about them comes from people who aren’t sure themselves—rumors about demons, extraterrestrials, my own imagination, even beings from other dimensions. I’ve never been convinced by any of those explanations, and they just leave me more confused. Still, I’m curious to learn what evidence might exist, so any insights would be appreciated. Has anyone ever seen eyes that seemed to radiate a blinding, almost bluish‑white light, so intense that the actual pupils were impossible to make out? The glow was so fierce it flooded the entire room, turning everything into a stark, luminous haze, yet the silhouette of the eyes remained clearly defined, casting a dark outline that you could never penetrate. I recall standing in that eerie illumination, feeling both mesmerized and uneasy, as the bright halo pulsed while the shadowed form stubbornly resisted any attempt to look through it.
