Why should we assume everything has to be love, light, rainbows, and unicorns? Isn’t there room for genuine anger and frustration in our lives?
Not every moment needs to be painted with pastel optimism. A handful of people might actually feel rage, and even if only a select few do, they’ll eventually move past it, learning to channel that energy elsewhere.
I’ve learned this the hard way when a close friend, usually calm and cheerful, snapped during a stressful week. At first it seemed shocking, but watching them process the anger and later laugh about it reminded me that even the brightest personalities have shadows, and those shadows can fade with time.
