It’s so wild how often people tell me they look up to me! I never really saw myself as a leader or anything like that. I’m just being myself, you know? But lately, I keep hearing it from friends, even from people I’ve just met. They say I’m like a teacher or a role model, which is honestly so surprising and sweet! 🙂
I think it’s because I just try to lead by example. I don’t tell people what to do! My best friend has been through a lot with their mental health, and they told me I’ve made their life so much better. That means everything to me! Even my boyfriend, who’s older than me, says he admires me and looks up to the way I handle things. It’s a really cool feeling!
I’ve noticed I often befriend people who are going through a tough time or have a lot of chaos around them. Somehow, I just end up helping sort things out or making things a little brighter! It happens without me even planning it. And kids and animals seem to really connect with me, which is funny because I can be pretty shy! Little kids will just come up to me to talk or play, and even pets that are usually super hyper or nervous get calm around me. It’s like we understand each other!
It’s all made me think a lot about how we can impact others. Leadership isn’t always about being in charge—sometimes it’s just about being kind, steady, and really listening. I’m just so grateful I can be that person for others!
