I wanted to share a pretty COOL story that reflects how the universe provides for us when we least expect it, and how it reflects to us how we feel within.
(Plus maybe someone can relate)
Long story, so understand if you don’t wanna read
When I was younger, my dad suffered an injury at work that led to him getting addicted to painkillers. I was about 5-6 at the time, and he changed before my eyes. He became super depressed and angry, yelling and snapping on me and my brother. There I was, walking on eggshells, picking up others’ energy easily due to hyper-awareness.
At this time, I had a best friend who was my neighbor. Her home was my safe haven; her parents were like my second parents.
Well, we were supposed to have a surprise birthday for her mom. I made a 'never ending card' that I was SO excited to give her—just to find out her mom had passed away that night.
This shook up my world. (Pluto transit conjunct my natal moon at this time)
My friend then also lost her dad a couple months later and had to move across the country. (I was now about 10 at this time)
So this was a HUGE emotional turning point that shook me. Lost my best friend, my second parents, my safe haven to escape to when I was afraid to be home. Now I fea red death. (Abandonment wounds began here, along with fear of death and anxiety)
My parents were divorcing during this time. (Pluto transit conjunct IC as well)
I felt so alone.
And then, all of a sudden, a girl moves next door. We meet for the first time and get on the topic of birthdays—and come to find out, we had the SAME BIRTHDAY. 12/13/93.
(Sag sun, moon, mercury, mars, venus, and north node—one of the only Sagis I really know, surprisingly; the other was my nana, who passed away)
It felt very fated. Both life path number 11s with very similar childhood experiences. No longer felt so alone; had a new safe haven.
Anyway, after these experiences, I got tossed into a lot of emotional trauma—because I realized my childhood wounds were constantly triggered: rejection, abandonment, etc. I didn’t see this at the time, but as I started my inner work and healing, I saw that my undealt wounds were DRIVING my entire life.
I think many relate to this because I see it here all the time. People are upset about certain signs being shitty people.
But what I’ve learned is, it’s not about the sun sign. Often, it’s our own unhealed wounds. We attract people into our life subconsciously to trigger us, to heal and grow.
Once we do the inner work and become teachable—that’s when life starts to look UP!!!
I’m happy to chat in the comments with anyone who’s had tough relationships and struggled to see the lesson in them.
Sometimes, the biggest lesson is learning to love ourselves enough to let go of toxic people.
