My own personal view:
Emotions exist. Every healthy person on earth empirically knows that emotions exist. But no science knows what an emotion is.
The sense of taste exists. All healthy people on earth empirically know what taste is. But no science knows what taste is.
'Gut feelings' exist. Billions of people have had 'gut feelings' that were empirically proven accurate. But no science can explain a 'gut feeling'.
The list is extensive.
I myself wrote of the 'void' in 1971. Today the term has gained popularity in social media. The physics is very simple, but science cannot explain it, which proves that science is not knowledgeable of the body and mind, nor of physics.
Since a toddler, I myself have always been grounded upon physics: if the physics of a thing cannot be intricately explained from a firsthand point of observation, then the thing's nature remains unknown. As an adult, I started my own 'electrical physics' business (design, modifications, diagnostics, etc.). If a thing is claimed to be based upon electricity, then the claim ought to be able to be backed-up with electrical physics. Unfortunately, I myself have not yet personally witnessed many scientific theories of electrical function (especially biology) that can pass scrutiny.
Within the concept of twin flames, twin souls, split souls, or however else a person may choose the phrase it, the physics is very simple. The evidence is everywhere, literally everywhere.
Within my own personal point of view, a person ought not wait to be told of an empirical evidence that is to be believed: go, experience it oneself.
