The distinction between Ascended Masters and the Elohim is often misunderstood. Ascended Masters are human souls who have completed the long process of incarnation, purification, and have reached a state of permanent alignment with the Divine. Their achievement is the goal for every human who walks the path back to Godhead. The Elohim, by contrast, belong to Devic or Deva lineage. They are beings who have already returned to Divine source and now act from a position of completed unity. Because their origin is different, the two groups never merge. An angel may appear in human form to guide, but an angel cannot become a human soul, and a human soul cannot become an angelic being.
The system of the seven rays helps to clarify these relationships. Each ray carries a specific quality, a corresponding Ascended Master, an Archangel, and an Elohim. The Third Ray, known as the ray of divine love, is overseen by Lady Master Rowena as its Chohan. The Archangel of this ray is Chamuel, who embodies adoration. Twin aspect of the ray is represented by Elohim Orion, who expresses the same love from the perspective of Devic hierarchy.
In human energy body, the heart chakra reflects this dynamic. Its shadow side is lethargy and disengagement, while its positive expression is active love that fuels growth. Working with Third Ray therefore supports heart’s awakening, aligns the seeker with both Master and the Elohim, and encourages truly genuine participation in life.
