It’s crazy to think we’ve only explored maybe ten percent of the oceans, like we barely know what’s down there, all that darkness and pressure and hidden caves where anything could be living. Sometimes I just can’t stop thinking about how much is still a complete mystery, and how maybe we won’t even know the half of it for thousands of years, if ever. It just makes you wonder about all the creatures that might be hiding, things we haven’t even imagined yet, or things we have imagined but are just too clever to be found.
That’s why I still hold out hope for mermaids, I really do. If they were real, they’d have to be incredibly smart, right? They would know how to stay away from our boats and our submarines, living way out in the deepest parts of the Pacific or the Indian Ocean, tucked into those underwater caverns we can’t even reach. The idea that they could be out there, just beyond what we can see, gives me this feeling of wonder. Honestly, finding one would be the most amazing thing, it’s my biggest dream, just to know that kind of magic is real in the world.
